Du Pont
February 9, 2004

Entries will be accepted as late as February 15 for the upcoming Du Pont “Antron” Student Design competition, an annual contest which gives students the opportunity to be recognized by members of the professional design community.

All students from an accredited U.S. school of architecture or interior design are eligible to compete.

The winner of the competition receives a $1,000 award; contestants may also earn category awards worth $500 apiece. Matching funds will be donated to the winners’ schools.

Students’ projects are expected to fabricate a commercial environment which incorporates Du Pont nylon as a design element. Participants also are required to provide the judges with carpet and fabric samples, in addition to a rendering and written rationale. Projects are judged in the categories of offices, hospitality services, health-care facilities, store planning spaces and public spaces.
