GENERAL AUDITIONS FOR CURTAIN UP PLAYERS

Auditions Held at Curtain Up Classroom 

Maria Bakalis, Director of Curtain Up Classroom, held general auditions for new performers (known as “Curtain Up Players”) in the Curtain Up Ensemble Acting Company, the collective name for the Studio’s various acting troupes.

Auditions were held Sunday, July 13 at the Curtain Up studio in Glen Ellyn, and were open to all persons age 18 or older. People auditioned for any of the studio’s three adult theatre troupes: The Store Front Players, The Improv Troupe, or The Saturday Storybook Children’s Theatre.

The Store Front Players perform professional and original works, while The Improv Troupe can be seen at Curtain Up’s Open-Mic Nights. The most recent addition to the Curtain Up Ensemble Acting Company, The Saturday Storybook Children’s Theatre, allows children to participate in an interactive Children’s Theatre play.

All three troupes perform at Curtain Up Classroom Acting Studio and Store Front Theatre, located at 548 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL.
