The famous Fire
Curtain, which hangs in front of the stage at the Lyric Opera, depicts the
parade scene from the opera Aida. It was designed by Jules Guerin. The
Kochs received this card during their first season at the Lyric Opera in 1994
after moving from California to Illinois.
